Secondary operations include de-burring, light machining and surface finish processes. Virtually any material can be cut accurately and cost effectively with abrasive waterjet cutting.

One of the biggest advantages is waterjet’s inherent cold cutting quality. This allows materials to be cut that would be burned, melted or cracked by other cutting methods. Some thermal processes cause surface hardening, warping and emission of hazardous gasses.

How it works…
The process of waterjet cutting is simple. Water is pressurized to 55,000 psi by hydraulic intensification and then forced thru a small surface in the cutting head.
